Deputy IT Operations Manager, C2 Initiative
About The Position
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Deputy IT Operations Manager to join its team in Doral, Florida. The position serves as second-in-command for IT operations, supporting the DODIN Operations Lead with day-to-day management and strategic planning. It oversees operational execution of IT services and ensures the capability and readiness of IT and cybersecurity systems, deploying secure and interoperable systems to provide an operational advantage to cybersecurity warfighters. The Deputy IT Operations Manager ensures compliance with CSSP inspections, A&A processes, the RMF, and CORA program requirements. The role serves as the primary escalation point for operational issues, outages, and incident response when the DODIN Operations Lead is unavailable, and acts as IT Operations Manager when required. The position also supports budget planning, resource allocation, staffing, workforce development, and team proficiency across data center operations, communications, cloud, network, DevSecOps, and service delivery. It assists the DoDIN Operations Lead in managing IT operations and mentoring subordinate staff, while improving efficiency through strategic planning, process optimization, and proactive risk mitigation.
Requirements
- One of the following education and experience combinations: BA/BS in project management, computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; high school diploma and 9 years of relevant experience; associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience; or master's degree or PhD and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience must be in IT operations management, project management, or a similar role.
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience at a DoD Combatant Command or a component.
- PMP certification.
Responsibilities
- Support the DODIN Operations Lead with day-to-day IT operations management and strategic planning.
- Establish and maintain compliance through CSSP inspections, A&A processes, the RMF, and CORA program requirements.
- Oversee operational execution of IT services and ensure the capability and readiness of IT and cybersecurity systems.
- Deploy advanced, secure, and interoperable IT systems to provide an operational advantage to cybersecurity warfighters.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, outages, and incident response when the DODIN Operations Lead is unavailable.
- Serve as Acting IT Operations Manager when required.
- Support budget planning, resource allocation, staffing, and workforce development initiatives.
- Ensure team proficiency in data center operations, communications, cloud, network, DevSecOps, and service delivery, and ensure the team consistently exceeds SLAs.
- Enhance operational efficiency through strategic planning, process optimization, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Assist the DoDIN Operations Lead with managing IT operations and providing direction and mentorship to subordinate staff.
