The Deputy Inspector – Disciplinary Appeals manages an extremely important set of processes for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) and must effectively collaborate with multiple constituents. The Deputy Inspector – Disciplinary Appeals is the person primarily responsible for the management and processing of incarcerated-persons misconduct appeals. The Deputy Inspector – Disciplinary Appeals must be confident, collaborative, and detail oriented. They must have knowledge of law, law enforcement, and correctional-institution operations. They must be capable of conducting training sessions for appeals committees. This position serves as the subject matter expert in the area of inmate disciplinary procedure appeals.
