This position is responsible for conducting boiler inspections related to the requirements of Chapter 554, FS and Chapter 69A-51, FAC for uninsured boilers located in places of public assembly in assigned areas. The role involves preparing reports on all boilers inspected using prescribed forms, conducting follow-up inspections to ensure satisfactory correction of violations, and scheduling inspections for efficient use of resources and time. Additionally, the Deputy Boiler Inspector provides customer service to stakeholders such as boiler owners, installers, mechanics, and special inspectors to further boiler safety and code compliance. The position also conducts regulatory enforcement inspections and actions, and public outreach activities to advance the goal of boiler safety, preparing presentations and materials based on various audiences. The role includes identifying unregistered boilers, conducting quality control activities, and preparing/submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Support is also provided for activities related to accreditations held or pursued by the section, bureau, division, or department, along with other assigned duties.
