This position will work with the director in managing and directing all services within the agency including Adult Services, Child Services, Medicaid Services, Food and Nutrition Services, Child Day Care, Child Support, and Work First. This position will direct the daily activities of most of the staff through thirteen supervisors; evaluate quality of services to ensure compliance with standards; oversee organizational changes; with major input on personnel and budget issues. This position will review statistical program data and expenditures monthly to evaluate effectiveness of programs and establish performance expectations for staff based on current policy, procedures, and standards. This position will provide technical assistance and case consultation due to legal implications and program guidelines. This position will serve as a member of the agency management team to evaluate agency needs, develop and approve annual budgets, coordinate projects and tasks as assigned by the director. Position will evaluate the need to expand or redesign areas of service programs and policy surrounding programs and be able to justify the needs of various units in staffing, equipment, and space. This position will assist with the hiring process of all staff. This position will represent the agency on designated boards, committees and planning bodies. Will assure appropriate and timely responses to inquiries from the media and community regarding services programs and related issues and will work to enhance relations with other program areas, partner agencies, and throughout the community. This position will perform other duties as assigned.
