The Deputy Director is a senior leadership role responsible for strengthening CADRE’s internal alignment, organizational effectiveness, and execution of its mission and multi-year strategic plan. Reporting directly to the Executive Director (ED), the Deputy Director serves as a strategic partner and internal leader, ensuring that organizational strategy is translated into effective systems, programs, and people-centered practices. This role supports continuity of leadership, staff development, and cross-team coordination while centering care, accountability, and equity—rooted in CADRE’s commitment to educational and racial justice. Objectives of This Role Partner with the Executive Director in advancing CADRE’s mission, vision, and strategic plan Strengthen internal leadership, communication, and operational alignment across all teams Support implementation of annual organizational and programmatic priorities Foster a healthy, trauma-informed, and sustainable organizational culture Serve as a key link between field organizing, programs, operations, and executive leadership
