About The Position

The Deputy Director, Inpatient Rehabilitation Services provides day‑to‑day leadership, administrative oversight, and operational support for inpatient substance use disorder services. The position assists with managing staffing, scheduling, compliance activities, and operational processes, and works closely with the Director to implement goals, improve workflows, and ensure alignment with accreditation, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; no substitutions.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a related behavioral health, rehabilitation, or human services field, including some experience in a supervisory, lead, or administrative capacity.
  • Ability to develop and mentor others.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to drive strategic direction.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain throughout employment.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
