The Deputy Director of Housing Authority Operations is a key executive leadership role within the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), responsible for overseeing the full scope of Housing Authority operations for the City and County of San Francisco. Reporting directly to the Director of MOHCD and the San Francisco Housing Authority, this position provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the effective, compliant, and equitable delivery of housing programs serving low-income households, including a Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program serving approximately 16,000 households. This position is one of five Deputy Directors reporting to the MOHCD Director and plays a critical role on the Department’s executive leadership team. The Deputy Director must work collaboratively across MOHCD divisions—including Housing, Community Development, Homeownership and Below Market Rate Programs, and Finance and Administration—to align programs, resources, and policy priorities. The role is central to advancing the City’s housing goals through strong cross-functional coordination, operational excellence, and a shared commitment to equity.
