Reporting to the VP, Government Affairs, the Deputy Director, Government Affairs will assume a leadership role in the CEBA Government Affairs team. The team holds primary responsibility to inform and influence public policy by building advocacy strategies to further the organization’s goals. This role will parse CEBA’s major policy objectives into pragmatic legislative and regulatory initiatives that have a reasonable chance of success, while building CEBA’s political brand and sowing seeds for future, longer-term legislative and regulatory wins. To leverage the voice of our 300+ members, whose combined market capitalization exceeds $30T, requires world class stakeholder management. The Government Affairs team needs to manage and leverage relationships with our corporate member’s Government Affairs teams, members of Congress and their staff, elected and political appointees and their staff, a significant coalition of NGO and policy think tanks, and our own consultants and lobbyists. The position is primarily on-site in our Washington, D.C. office but offers flexibility allowing for regular remote work.
