The job of the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Enterprise Asset Management was established for the purpose(s) of total life-cycle management of city facilities. This includes the strategic integration of capital construction and maintenance of buildings and grounds to achieve a condition of operating excellence. Under general direction, the Deputy Commissioner plans, develops, directs, implements and monitors the activities of the Real Estate, Administration, Building Operation and Technical Services Divisions. The position monitors the grounds of all facilities to provide a condition of safety, neatness, and aesthetic attractiveness. This position continuously improves processes, procedures and practices to maintain optimum building performance, and develops steps to reduce energy consumption that result in cost savings for the city of Atlanta.
