Job Summary The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and assists the CFO in managing the finance functions. The Deputy CFO will provide leadership and direction in reviewing, developing and analyzing relevant financial information and in ensuring alignment with L.A. Care's mission, values, and financial stewardship. The Deputy CFO will also be tasked with the undertaking of special projects under the direction of the CFO in areas of provider contracting strategy and reimbursement, fee for service claim trend analysis, financial forecasting, financial performance metrics, business process improvement or other projects supporting Finance. The position provides a key role in assisting the Provider Network Management department to ensure contracts have a solid review and approval of financial terms. The Deputy CFO is second in command, and is responsible for providing leadership for the cross functional management in Finance Services.
