About The Position

The Deposit Product Manager manages product management and development activities supporting the consumer and small business deposit product portfolios. This role ensures that deposit products reach profitability and growth objectives and serves as a principal point of contract for internal and external relationships. This position serves as the organization’s subject matter expert for deposit products, owning strategy, lifecycle management, and member experience outcomes across consumer portfolios. The role is a pivotal conduit between Member Experience, Information Technology, Process Excellence/PMO, Lending Systems Administration, Business Banking, and the Lending Product Manager, ensuring best‑practice systems integration and seamless service delivery. This position will drive continuous improvement for core technology systems and solutions, work closely with CXO and VP Member Experience to steward deposit‑related merger & acquisition strategies and action plans, deliver specialized training, and continually optimize operational processes within Member Experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required or a minimum of 3-5 years’ directly related experience.
  • Retail Banking knowledge of deposit products.

Nice To Haves

  • Product management, product development or product marketing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Ownership: Define and execute the end‑to-end product strategy and roadmap for consumer and business deposit products, including pricing recommendations, features, policies, and performance targets. Lead product discovery, competitive analysis, and member insights to inform product enhancements that improve member experience and financial outcomes.
  • Systems Integration & Technology Enablement: Champion best‑practice systems integrations across core systems including digital account opening, point of sale, and member communication systems. Partner closely with all departments including IT and the Operational Excellence team to ensure stable operations, data integrity, and scalable workflows. Translate business requirements into technical user stories; validate releases via test plans and production readiness reviews in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Execution: Own deposit workstreams for M&A activities, including product mapping, migration strategies, member communications (works with marketing), and post‑conversion performance monitoring. Facilitate cross‑functional decisions and training to converge on best practices for deposit products during integrations (e.g., CVB integration efforts).
  • Training, Enablement, & Best Practices: Develop and deliver specialized training procedures, job aids, and knowledge base content for frontline teams. Standardize deposit best practices across all channels and branches. Coach teams on product changes and operational impacts, partner with Process Excellence team to embed continuous‑improvement routines.
  • Process Optimization & Member Experience: Continuously review, consolidate, and optimize deposit operational processes to reduce friction, cycle time, and errors. Monitor member feedback and journey analytics; co-lead Kaizen/lean initiatives to improve onboarding, servicing, fraud prevention, and fulfillment experiences.
  • Risk, Compliance & Controls: Ensure product designs and procedures comply with applicable regulations (e.g., Reg CC, Reg E, Reg D, BSA/AML/OFAC) and internal policies; coordinate with MSS, Compliance, Risk, and Audit. Maintain robust controls and reporting for exception handling, fees, disclosures, escheatment, and dispute processing; support board‑level policy updates as needed.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Partner with IT, Process Excellence, Lending Systems Administrator, Lending Product Manager, BI, Business Banking and other leaders to align goals, remove roadblocks, and deliver outcomes. Assist with managing vendor relationships for deposit capabilities, coordinating service‑level expectations.
