About The Position

The Deposit Product Manager is responsible for the development, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing management of USALLIANCE deposit products. This role leverages member feedback, operational data, market insights, and emerging technologies to improve product performance, member experience, and organizational efficiency. Working through cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects, the position drives enhancement to Deposit Account products policies, processes, and application experiences while empowering front line sales initiatives through training and product knowledge materials. Supports Business Development through performance tracking, process optimization, and growth-focused initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred in Finance, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Required 4+ years of experience in retail banking covering all the product lifecycle from ideation, building, launch and day to day P&L + MX management.
  • Knowledge of checking, savings, CDs, HSA/HDSA, rates, fees, profitability, and deposit growth strategies.
  • Ability to interpret market research, member insights, pricing analysis, profitability reporting, performance metrics, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Experience using member feedback, NPS results, survey data, operational information, and interaction insights to identify and prioritize improvements.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and move initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Familiarity with banking and credit union regulatory expectations, including consumer deposit requirements, disclosures, BSA/AML awareness, and risk controls.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and translate business and member needs into practical product, policy, application, and workflow improvements.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to explain product features, train member-facing teams, and support sales channel adoption and performance.
  • All positions must adhere to standard BSA/AML policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Employees must demonstrate awareness of business functions and how business decisions affect financial and/or non-financial work results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, enhancement, implementation, and ongoing management of deposit products and related member experiences.
  • Conduct member, prospect, market, and competitive research to identify unmet needs, emerging trends, opportunities for innovation, and areas for product differentiation.
  • Based on products members are leveraging, collect and review feedback, NPS results, survey data, complaint trends, operational metrics, and AI-generated insights to identify and advocate for opportunities for product, policy, process, and experience improvements.
  • Develop product concepts, customer value propositions, business cases, requirements, and implementation roadmaps that support strategic growth objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce member friction, strengthen application experiences, and enhance end-to-end member journeys.
  • Partner with Finance and the Deposit Product Analyst to evaluate product performance, pricing strategies, profitability reporting, and deposit growth opportunities while developing recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure product changes are compliant, operationally sustainable, effectively communicated, and successfully implemented through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Support Business Development by identifying and resolving application-process barriers, streamlining member onboarding, and improving conversion outcomes across partner and sales channels.
  • Work with Deposit Product Analyst to develop, maintain, and analyze performance reporting related to applications, conversions, deposit growth, product adoption, sales attribution, and overall business effectiveness.
  • Provide product leadership, training, and sales enablement support while driving product awareness, adoption, and growth across member-facing channels.
  • Direct ownership of product P&L performance, ongoing profitability management, and accountability for the growth and profitability of all deposit products.
  • Other duties as assigned.
