About The Position

Journey Bank is seeking a full-time Deposit Operations Assistant Manager to join their team and work on-site at their Central Road Office in Bloomsburg. This role supports and manages the deposit operations function, ensuring activities align with bank policies and procedures. The position involves evaluating service quality, resolving operational issues, implementing system changes, and providing training to bank staff. It also includes monitoring overdrafts, supervising personnel, and collaborating with various departments and management.

Requirements

A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field normally required; specialized banking education/training.
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related position normally required.
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
Proficient analytical skills.
Thorough knowledge of bank deposit operations and related regulations.
Proficient PC skills.
Demonstrated management and supervisory skills.
Visual and auditory skills.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Ensures all deposit operations activities are conducted consistent with established Bank operating policies and procedures.
Participates in the establishment of standards and procedures necessary to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective utilization of deposit operations personnel and equipment.
Continuously evaluates the level and quality of services provided by the deposit operations department and takes corrective action as may be needed.
Works closely with staff throughout the department to integrate activities, resolve problems relating to deposit operations, and improve external and internal "customer" service.
Works with various bank products and systems to implement the service or system; make appropriate changes and/or updates; assist with product Risk Assessments; implement appropriate procedures.
Provides, prepares training documents, and distributes appropriate deposit operations training to Bank staff.
Monitors overdrafts and other related activities.
Abides by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, consumer protection, and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Directly supervises assigned personnel.
Communicates with Deposit Operations Manager, Chief Technology and Operations Officer, other department managers, and appropriate staff personnel to integrate goals and activities.
Provides periodic reports to the Deposit Operations Manager and/or Chief Technology & Operations Officer, as well as other groups, as required throughout the Bank.
Serves as backup to Commercial Services.
