MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: As a Deployment/Availability Coordinator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment. You will play a crucial role in providing administration support in the following areas: Deployment Management: Manage and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and successful deployment of IT systems, applications, and solutions. Collaborate with change management, release management, and development teams to ensure smooth transitions of changes from development into production environments. Oversee the development and documentation of deployment plans, schedules, and rollback strategies. Monitor and analyze deployment issues, ensuring swift resolution and capturing lessons learned for future improvements. Availability Management: Create, implement, and monitor availability management processes to ensure IT services meet and exceed agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs). Develop and maintain availability and reliability plans for critical IT services, driving improvements where needed. Conduct availability risk assessments and report on service availability trends, vulnerabilities, and potential performance improvements. Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and incident management teams to resolve performance and availability issues quickly. Make recommendations for Key Performance Indicator additions or modifications to improve the accuracy of SLA reporting. Assist the Task Manager in collection and calculation of SLA metrics
