About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary position for a Departmental Summer Student Worker within the Academic & Student Affairs department, specifically in the Nursing, Allied Health & Safety sub-department at South Louisiana Community College. The role involves conducting research and analysis on nursing and allied health programs, performing administrative support, assisting with projects, and supporting lab and simulation activities.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a college degree in a related field of study.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills.
  • Fast-paced, detail oriented, and excellent organizational skills; accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis on nursing and allied health programs.
  • Perform administrative work to support the Nursing and Allied Health team.
  • Assist with other Nursing and Allied Health related projects as needed.
  • Assist with lab and with simulation.
