This position serves as the specialist and subject matter expert for the state’s Gambling Disorder and Gaming Disorder prevention and treatment program. The role is responsible for coordinating services, activities, and evaluation supported by the Compulsive Gaming Prevention Fund. Key responsibilities include developing statewide program plans and initiatives for youth and young adults, making policy and procedure recommendations, and managing gambling disorder and gaming disorder prevention and treatment services targeted for this demographic. The position also oversees prevention programs and media campaigns, facilitates program promotion and outreach, participates in provider training and service development, conducts research and data review, consults with national experts, and fosters relationships to garner program interest. Additionally, the employee manages the work assignments of contractors to ensure performance compliance with state objectives for youth and young adult services and the availability of gambling disorder and gaming disorder services throughout Michigan.
