About The Position
As a first-line professional manager of professional positions in a complex work area, oversees and manages the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Office of Aeronautics' Finance and Operations Unit which includes the following functions: Overseeing the budgetary planning, execution and monitoring for the Office of Aeronautics. Directing the Office of Aeronautics' Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant and supporting staff. Directing the Office of Aeronautics’ contracting, procurement, and purchasing, in consultation with the Bureau of Finance and Administration. Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
- Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- If applicable, attach a copy of your official college transcripts and/or foreign degree evaluation with your application.
- Applicants who possess foreign degrees must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents.
- All newly hired state employees are required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical (if applicable) prior to their actual appointment.
- Criminal and driving records will also be checked if applicable.
- Any position offer will be conditional until results of the drug test, physical, criminal background, and driving records indicate eligibility for employment.
