Learn more at www.michigan.gov/LEO . This senior analyst supports the administration of various federal workforce programs within the Workforce Innovation Team (WIT). These programs include Titles I and III of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA). This position is responsible for managing all grants and contracts for various Michigan Works! Agencies (MWAs). This management includes providing general and specialized technical assistance, and the ongoing review of program planning, design, and implementation for compliance with federal and state laws. This analyst serves as the recognized resource for the Career Educational Advisory Councils (CEACs). This responsibility includes reviewing all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, guidance and policies, and drafting and maintaining all associated policies. Responsibilities also include identifying stakeholders, establishing metrics, and monitoring outcomes and progress toward performance goals. This analyst is also responsible for providing back up to WIT’s Youth Specialist and drafting policies, letters, and other guidance, as assigned. There is a possibility of a remote/hybrid schedule based on performance and operational need. However, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
  • All work must be performed in Michigan. If you currently reside outside of Michigan, you must relocate to Michigan to perform the duties of this position.
  • Must attach a cover letter, detailed resume, and official college transcript(s) to your application.
  • Academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents unless the degree has been recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) if the degree is from a foreign college or university.
  • Must submit and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment.
  • May require state criminal, fingerprint-based and driving record background checks.
  • Must provide form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Departmental Analyst 12 Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
