About The Position

This position will report directly to the Department Head and is responsible for establishing and maintaining operating procedures for the departmental administrative office, maintaining knowledge of policies, rules and procedures affecting the department, supervising office personnel, coordinating all departmental reporting, maintainng the Department Head office to include calendar, meeting and travel arrangements, telephone and other communications, organizing and completing special projects as assigned by the Department Head, and managing and performing personnel related procedures in accordance with all policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Three or more years experience in the field of administrative management is preferred
  • Knowledge of current computer systems and software
  • Ability to make sound judgments, assume responsibility, and maintain accurate records
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail with excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong project management and administrative skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • The ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent time management and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of staff development and supervisor principles
  • Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations
  • Ability to exercise initiative, make sound judgments, be discreet, and assume responsibilities
  • Superior computer and software skills, strong managerial, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
