Position Summary The Department Quality & Reliability (Q&R) Engineer is a critical leadership and technical role responsible for the integrity of our physical and operational infrastructure. This individual will oversee the standards for office maintenance, semiconductor tool hookup, and facilities services, while specifically steering the Infra Risk Prevention (IRP) team. The primary mission is to build, implement, and audit a department-wide Q&R system that prevents infrastructure failures and ensures rapid, systematic response when issues arise. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Own and evolve the department’s Q&R framework, SOPs, and QC checklists. Direct the Facilities Services Department to align with Q&R objectives. Lead the IRP team in identifying single points of failure and designing prevention/recovery protocols. Serve as the primary liaison between construction/hook‑up crews and long‑term operations to guarantee high‑quality transitions. Conduct deep‑dive investigations into infrastructure anomalies, driving CAPA and 8D root‑cause cycles. Deliver weekly / quarterly reliability health assessments and risk profiles to executive leadership. Review, approve, and mandate annual revisions of Work Guides, SOPs, and quality documentation. Lead internal & external audits, corrective actions, and quality record management. Develop, track, and report on KPIs for the quality program. Manage alarm‑management initiatives and quarterly drill programs. Provide initial and continual quality training for all team members. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of required registration evidence for all assets (EAM, CMMS, MES, Commissioning Software, FMCS). Core Job Functions Design & maintain the Q&R framework; create SOPs and QC checklists for tool hook‑up and infrastructure maintenance. Lead IRP, conduct 8D investigations, and run risk mitigation plans for single points of failure. Coordinate department team operations; ensure seamless hand‑offs and quality expectations for stakeholders. Drive process improvement initiatives, KPI development, Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and asset‑criticality analysis. Execute and document internal/external audits, comply with ISO 9001, building codes, and Infra TFT initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Reliability Engineering preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is acceptable with equivalent professional experience.
  • 8 – 10 + years in high‑tech/semiconductor manufacturing or similar PM environment.
  • 5 + years in Quality or Reliability leadership roles.
  • Semiconductor tool hook‑up requirements, cleanroom protocols, industrial utilities (UPW, Scrubber, HVAC).
  • FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, CAPA, 8D root‑cause methodology.
  • SAS analytics, CMMS (preventive & condition monitoring), EAM, MES, Commissioning Software, FMCS.
  • ISO 9001, local building/safety codes, Infra TFT requirements.
  • Advanced data analysis, KPI generation, asset criticality & strategy, predictive maintenance programs.
  • Calm decision‑making under pressure, incident response, influence across multiple teams without direct authority.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) highly preferred
  • Drive a quality culture with contractors, engineers, and technicians without direct reporting lines.
