About The Position

The Department Manager Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating and maintaining compelling merchandise presentations that engage customers and stimulate sales. This role involves ensuring the team is ready to work, enforcing company policies, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The manager will also oversee the overall layout of corporate offices, manage display accessories, and collaborate with the merchandising department on floor layout, discounts, and promotions. A key aspect of the role is updating and rotating displays and signage, and developing plans for merchandise displays and window presentations. The manager must handle all merchandise with care and follow safety procedures, while also overseeing the visual merchandising team through evaluations, discipline, recognition, and separation documentation. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Proven employment history of interior/floor design.
  • Ability to take direction from numerous upper-level management staff.
  • Positive attitude when working with customers.
  • Knowledge of employment practices.
  • Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain compelling merchandise presentations that engage customers and stimulate sales.
  • Ensure the crew is present and ready to work.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures and perform disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and productivity of employees.
  • Protect the company image and brand standards at all times.
  • Design and maintain the overall layout of corporate offices.
  • Purchase and manage display accessories.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising department to plan floor layout, discounts, and special purchases.
  • Update and rotate displays and signage to reflect inventory changes and promotions.
  • Develop and execute plans for merchandise displays and window presentations.
  • Arrange props, furniture, merchandise, backdrops, and accessories.
  • Handle all merchandise with care and follow proper safety procedures.
  • Oversee the visual merchandising team, including evaluations, discipline, recognition, and separation documentation.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by management.
