This role is responsible for planning and maintaining production processes within the production department, ensuring food quality and food safety. This includes adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The position also focuses on associate safety by complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and involves developing, training, and mentoring production department associates. This includes participating in the interview and selection process, executing and training associates on Publix, Manufacturing, and plant policies, providing direction, encouraging, motivating, building morale, evaluating performance, and verifying results. Additionally, the role involves identifying and ensuring the execution of continuous improvement opportunities to enhance associate and asset productivity.
