This role serves as a leader for associates within a specific department (Hardlines, Animal Health, Cashier, Clothing/Boots, or Material Handling). The primary responsibilities include ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining in-depth product knowledge, and overseeing merchandising standards. The Department Lead is also responsible for training new associates, creating worklists, and potentially assuming managerial duties when scheduled, including opening and closing the store.
