About The Position

This role involves assisting with the unloading of incoming trucks and stocking merchandise as directed by management. The Department Head is responsible for executing daily operational goals and priorities set by the store manager, ensuring efficient store operations. Key duties include removing promotional bin tags, restocking merchandise displays, managing end caps and side wings, and handling special orders for non-stock items. A core aspect of the role is providing excellent customer service, never refusing a customer without consulting a manager, and actively discouraging shoplifting through positive customer interaction and adherence to company policy. The position also requires responding to radio requests and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
• Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
• Ability to gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.

• Handle special orders for all non-stock items.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
