As a Department Dispatcher, you’ll be a key point of communication, receiving and coordinating requests, prioritizing needs, and connecting them with the appropriate resources. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service experience in a role that requires exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers over the phone for most of the day

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a high-volume call center or dispatch facility

Responsibilities

  • Conduct friendly, courteous, compassionate and helpful communications with customers.
  • Dispatch requests in a timely manner and communicate status updates/delays to customers.
  • Receive and log requests through applicable software/tracking.
  • Answer and manage department phone calls.
  • Monitor EPIC (hospital tracking system) and Vovlo (housekeeping request system).
  • Assign and verify housekeeping dispatches (ensuring one task per housekeeper at a time).
  • Update hourly reports sent via Teams and email.
  • Manage pest control requests and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and monitor room turnaround post-patient discharge.
  • Call Apex for updates when needed.
  • Communicate across departments (e.g., with nurses for non-housekeeping requests).
