About The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director of Career Services, the Department Coordinator provides administrative oversight and coordination for the Career Services department. The position is responsible for coordinating a wide range of activities and projects in a busy office while supporting the Executive Director and the department leadership team in carrying out department goals. This position provides comprehensive administrative support, with responsibilities to include operations, significant budget and personnel support, communication and implementation of policies and procedures, data entry and tracking, and department coordination.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently anticipate and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Ability to take initiative, anticipate problems and solve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide solutions that are imaginative, thorough, and practical.
  • Demonstrated skill in collection and evaluation of data to develop valid conclusions and recommendations, including compiling information in concise manner for meetings and/or reports.
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity and commitment to issues of diversity.
  • Ability to independently navigate budget policies and procedures.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Type 45 wpm.
  • Five years of general office support experience.

  • Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience.
