The Department Clerk is responsible for performing essential duties with accuracy and maintaining a high level of productivity. This role requires the ability to develop excellent customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, and to promote high morale within the department and store. The clerk will maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales and ensure a smooth flow of products and services. Compliance with all company policies and directives is expected, and the clerk will serve as a professional example for other team members. A key aspect of this role involves possessing sufficient knowledge and ability to teach others all fundamentals of deli production, including mixing, scaling, cooking, frying, and finishing. Maintaining adequate department records is also a core responsibility.
