About The Position

Dane Street is expanding its physician panel and seeking Washington-licensed physician advisors to support L&I Independent Medical Exams. This opportunity involves conducting in-person Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) across multiple clinic locations in Washington, including Bellevue, Seattle, Everett, Spokane, and Vancouver. This is a contract-based role (1099) for independent reviewers, compensated on a per-case basis, offering supplemental income and schedule flexibility. No-show and late cancellation fees are in place to protect your time. The role focuses on reviewing medical records, performing physical exams, and providing advisory opinions based on established guidelines.

Requirements

Must be in active practice.
Must be board-certified in Dentistry.
Must hold a Washington medical license.
Must be available to conduct in-person IMEs.

Nice To Haves

Experience with medical necessity and utilization review/management.

Responsibilities

Reviews medical records.
Performs a physical exam of the patient.
Addresses clinical questions regarding the patient's diagnosis and care.
Completes a report addressing each question and clinical concern utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.
Provides a report promptly, post exam.
Returns cases on or before the due date and time specified.
Completes peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required based on client-specific protocol.
Performs other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.
