About The Position

Hill Country Community Clinic is seeking a full-time General Dentist (DDS/DMD) to join their integrated, whole person care team. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Hill Country attracts mission-driven individuals passionate about serving the underserved population of Shasta County. The Redding location is a twelve-chair operation open Monday through Friday, and the Round Mountain location is an eight-chair operation open Monday through Thursday. Dental staff rotate between both locations to optimize care coordination and department calibration, ensuring a seamless patient experience regardless of the chosen location. The team is composed of caring, diverse individuals dedicated to the vision of providing high-quality care and positive patient experiences to all community members.

Requirements

  • Active California Dental License, free of disciplinary action
  • Active DEA
  • Current Basic Life Support
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, principles, theories, techniques and practices of dentistry.
  • Must have ability to perform all necessary duties involved in dental hygienist protocol and procedures; as well as those of dental assistant.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of medical management software.
  • Working knowledge of all standard dental equipment necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities

  • Performs dental services for residents including oral examinations, prophylaxis, fillings, extractions, anterior root canals, periodontal surgery, root canals, crowns and bridges; takes and interprets radiographs; performs follow-up services.
  • Diagnoses dental condition, evaluates oral health, plans and provides treatment.
  • Writes, implements, and provides documentation of individual client's treatment; maintains records to comply with federal requirements and writes reports indicative of progress or regression.
  • Prepare and/or process documents; review for accuracy and completeness; update information and/or evaluate against policy; compare elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.
  • Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.
  • Conducts conferences with defendants and/or attorneys, negotiate settlements, and testify in court.
  • Directs activities of dental personnel in delivering care and treatment to patients and plans.
