About The Position
Smile New York Outreach is seeking a part-time general and pediatric dentist to provide dental care to underserved children at their schools in Brooklyn, New York, and surrounding areas. The school-based mobile dental program brings preventive and restorative care to children who may otherwise have difficulty accessing dental services. Dental teams use portable equipment to transform suitable school spaces into functional dental offices. The schedule follows the school day, averaging about 6–7 hours, typically between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. The position is described as Monday work, with evenings, weekends, and summers off. The role may suit dentists seeking supplemental income, recent graduates, working parents, or dentists approaching retirement. Compensation is $500–$800 per day. Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree.
- Ability to work well with children.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
- Passionate, friendly, and caring demeanor.
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
