Requirements
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
- Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodontal exams, review medical histories, diagnose oral diseases, and develop treatment plans
- Provide restorative and preventative procedures while maintaining infection control and safe anesthetic practices
- Explain preventative care and post-procedure instructions, and coordinate referrals with specialists
- Lead and oversee dental assistants and hygienists, provide training, and support performance evaluations
- Examine schedules, records, and documentation, respond to patient grievances, and prepare required reports
- Maintain dental supplies and equipment while ensuring proper security and control measures
