About The Position
Smile New York Outreach is seeking a full-time general and pediatric dentist to provide dental care to underserved children at schools in Brooklyn, Lower Manhattan, and surrounding areas. The school-based mobile dental program brings preventive and restorative care to children in familiar school settings, using portable equipment and the latest technology. Suitable school spaces are transformed into dental offices for the day. The role follows a school-day schedule of about 6–7 hours, averaging 8:00 A.M.–3:00 P.M., with evenings, weekends, and summers off. Flexible scheduling and full- and part-time positions are offered. The listed compensation is $500–$800 per day, with a benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree.
- Ability to work well with children.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
- Passionate, friendly, and caring demeanor.
- Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
