About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional dentist to serve the community in a public health setting. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on community health while receiving competitive salary and benefits. The dentist will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating dental diseases, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders. This includes performing a wide range of dental services such as oral examinations, diagnosing X-rays, prophylaxis, fillings, extractions, periodontal treatment, root canals, removable dentures, crowns, and bridges. The position also involves diagnosing dental conditions, evaluating oral health, providing treatment, prescribing medications, and maintaining electronic health records.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat dental diseases, abnormalities, injuries and dysfunctional disorders.
  • Direct dental activities and perform dental services for patients including oral examinations, diagnosing X-rays, prophylaxis, fillings, extractions, periodontal treatment, root canals, removable dentures, crowns and bridges.
  • Diagnose dental conditions, evaluate oral health, provide treatment, and prescribe medications.
  • Maintain and update electronic health records and information.
