About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics at Cincinnati Children’s seeks a residency-trained Pediatric Dentist for an academic clinician-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The division includes full-time and part-time pediatric dentist faculty, a craniofacial orthodontist, a dual-trained dentist anesthesiologist and pediatric dentist, and a general dentist. Faculty interests span pharmacologic behavior management, restorative dentistry, care for patients with complex medical conditions and special needs, and advocacy. The clinical practice handles more than 30,000 visits annually across two clinics and three operating-room sites. It has a busy level 1 trauma service and a strong commitment to multidisciplinary dental trauma care. The academic program includes a two-year residency with seven residents per year. Excellence in bedside teaching and in developing and delivering didactic and experiential learning is a core expectation. Residents provide after-hours dental trauma care to more than 350 patients annually. Faculty participate in weekly after-hours call, providing consultation and, when needed, emergent after-hours operating-room care. Cincinnati Children’s is a nonprofit pediatric academic medical center. Faculty receive a competitive salary and benefits, and may supplement base salary through incentive operating-room case care. The organization funds a defined-contribution retirement plan at 10% of compensation up to annual IRS limits. Full-time faculty are eligible for tuition remission at the University of Cincinnati for a spouse and unmarried dependent children.
