About The Position
Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dentist to join our team at Whatcom County Corrections on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values meaningful patient care, autonomy in practice, and serving an underserved population in a collaborative correctional healthcare environment. Under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), on-site Medical Director, and CMD/CMO, the Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental services while ensuring compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and community standards. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality care in a correctional setting.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Dentist license in the State of Washington
- Current DEA registration
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1+ year of dental practice experience
- Strong communication and computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Administrative or leadership experience preferred
- Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and urgent dental care services
- Perform assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with medical and custody staff to support patient care
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and dental program operations
