About The Position

Alluvion Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dentist to join our team in Great Falls, Montana. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who is passionate about delivering high-quality dental care, improving access to oral health services, and serving in a mission-driven community health setting. At Alluvion Health, our Dentists provide diagnostic, preventive, and restorative care in a collaborative, integrated environment. This position works closely with the Dental Director, dental support staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure patients receive exceptional, patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental School, required
  • Licensed and registered to practice Dentistry in the State of Montana, or ability to obtain prior to hire date, required
  • Current DEA registration
  • Valid Montana driver’s license, or ability to obtain prior to hire date, required
  • Knowledge of modern dentistry and oral surgery
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for dental evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Knowledge of preventive dental care and corrective treatment methods
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, medications, and medication effects
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards
  • Ability to identify, assess, and document symptoms and patient progress
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized dental care plans
  • Ability to prescribe medications appropriately and within formulary guidelines
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and address conflict respectfully and directly
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while functioning as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with patients, coworkers, supervisors, and the public
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Ability to learn and effectively use Alluvion Health software applications
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or concerns
  • Regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to provide patient care and operate a computer
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds while transporting equipment and supplies
  • Must have close vision, ability to focus, and ability to review electronic and printed materials for extended periods
  • Must have speech and hearing clarity sufficient for communication with patients and staff
  • Must be able to move throughout clinic settings and travel to other clinic sites as needed

Nice To Haves

  • One year of dental experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical dentistry to patients while assuring quality of care and efficient use of resources
  • Perform routine dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, root canal therapy, and other non-complex treatments
  • Conduct dental evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Oversee preventive examinations and cleanings performed by Dental Hygienists
  • Document patient histories, progress notes, interventions, and treatment plans in the electronic dental record
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient charting
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information
  • Collaborate with dental staff, medical providers, behavioral health professionals, and referral partners
  • Support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Alluvion Health
  • Work independently and collaboratively as needed
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures
