Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform examinations, diagnose oral diseases, create treatment plans, and provide restorative and preventative treatments
  • Ensure infection control, administer anesthetics safely, and explain care instructions to patients
  • Train dental staff, evaluate performance, direct corrective actions, and participate in hiring processes
  • Review schedules, records, requests, and documentation while supporting continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain supply levels, approve inventory requests, and monitor security, tool control, and toxic and caustic materials
  • Consult with physicians and specialists, assist with treatments, and refer patients for specialized care as needed
