About The Position

D&S is a manufacturer of dental appliances and is currently hiring for an Entry-Level Dental Technician. This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday – Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm). The company is described as challenging, rewarding, collaborative, fast-paced, and innovative. In many departments, once trained, employees are encouraged to use headphones during their workday to listen to music, audiobooks, podcasts, etc. The laboratory areas are highly dependent on effective teamwork and communication, with a creative aspect to nearly everything done. Technicians are enthusiastic about technology, cross-training is always encouraged, and the majority of technicians describe themselves as being introverted or task-oriented with a preference for autonomy.

Responsibilities

Interpret and follow dentists prescriptions (Rx) to create dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, and dentures
Utilize dental impressions and/or intraoral scans to design and construct dental models (replicas of the patient's teeth)
Operate and maintain dental laboratory tools, materials, equipment, and machinery
Collaborate with other dental technicians to ensure proper form, fit, and function of each prosthetic
Refine and finalize metal frameworks by smoothing surfaces, adjusting margins, and ensuring proper contour and fit. This stage focuses on removing imperfections, polishing, and preparing each case to meet quality standards before moving to the next phase at D&S.
