This position involves fabricating and repairing dental prostheses and appliances such as dentures, partials, crown and bridge, inlay/onlay, veneers, and implant restorations. The Dental Technician Trainee will read prescriptions, construct prostheses according to doctors' written orders, and communicate effectively with colleagues and managers. The role requires the use of a wide range of materials and various hand tools and equipment. Responsibilities include making models of the mouth, building wax replicas, encasing wax in mold material, and replacing wax with plastic, metal, or ceramic materials. The technician will also build up ceramic restorations, polish and finish appliances, and apply stains and glazes. The position utilizes CAD/CAM techniques and requires adherence to quality standards, documentation, and problem-solving.
