Provides routine skills in the manufacture of basic dental prosthetic restorations. Requirements

  • Formal training in dental laboratory prosthesis.
  • Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • None

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology (NBC) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance in the fabrication of basic dental prosthetic appliances.
  • Duplicates, waxes, design transfers, blocks out, casts, and finishes removable partial denture framework to assist in the delivery of quality dental care.
  • Prepares teaching aids for mold fabrication and cast pouring to ensure the availability of materials for the department.
  • Assists in instructing dental students in the fabrication of prostheses to provide them with advanced knowledge in the practice of prosthetic dentistry.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
