About The Position

Valley Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Sterile Technician to join their growing team. This role is essential to providing top-quality care and creating a fun and educational dental experience for children. The position involves sterilizing equipment, maintaining logs, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards, assisting with equipment maintenance, and supporting clinic staff. Team members in this role will travel between pediatric locations in Carlisle, Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, and Camp Hill as needed.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills that contribute to the team spirit
Keep abreast of and strictly follow OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control procedures
Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, and FBI Fingerprinting as deemed necessary by Human Resources
Willing to travel between pediatric locations in Carlisle, Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, and Camp Hill as needed.

Responsibilities

Sterilize all dental equipment and instruments in a timely fashion
Maintain sterilization log books
Comply with and share in the implementation of all safety, sterilization, and infection control requirements, including OSHA
Help maintain dental equipment per manufacturers’ recommendations
Assist other clinic staff and demonstrate a team approach to patient care
Enhance public image of the program and agency through professional conduct and appearance
Maintain confidential information
Perform other related activities, as required, to assure program/department success
Properly dispose of all biohazardous material
