About The Position

Community Health Service, Inc (CHSI) is seeking a full-time Dental Services Manager to join their Moorhead, MN team. CHSI's mission is to provide high-quality healthcare to the overlooked and underserved, with a focus on migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families, and now expanded to all individuals in the community. The Dental Services Manager will provide clinical leadership to dental support staff, including direct supervision of dental assistants. This role involves developing high-performing teams, ensuring consistent workflows, maintaining regulatory compliance, advancing quality improvement, and supporting patient-centered care. In a dyad leadership model, the manager will partner with Site Managers for daily operations and collaborate with the Dental Director on clinical practice and quality outcomes. Travel between clinic sites is required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or Dental Assistant from an accredited school
  • Current State license to practice as a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Minimum three years of dental experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply dental principles and practices
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and experience
  • Skill in identifying problems, researching, and recommending resolutions
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making
  • Experience with OCHIN Epic, Wisdom, or other Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
  • Knowledge and understanding of socio-economic and health problems of underserved populations
  • Good problem-solving abilities with independent judgment utilizing initiative, discretion, and the nursing process as needed
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Effective communication with staff, dentists/providers, and patients
