About The Position

Living Water Clinic–Clinica Agua Viva is seeking a Dental Receptionist for our Lindsay location. As the first point of contact for our dental patients, this role is vital in creating a welcoming and professional experience. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), friendly, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing both patient interactions and administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of dental or medical receptionist/front desk experience in a healthcare setting
  • Reliable transportation to travel between multiple clinic sites as needed
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required; additional languages a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with professionalism and tact
  • Knowledge of dental/medical terminology, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling preferred
  • Proficiency in modern office practices, computer data entry, and typing (45+ WPM)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information under HIPAA standards
  • Friendly, approachable, and compassionate with patients
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with phone systems, scheduling software, and office equipment

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Clear communication skills in person and over the phone

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in dental patients, ensuring all necessary forms and information are updated
  • Schedule and confirm dental appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate with the dental team to ensure timely care
  • Answer incoming calls, provide information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff
  • Verify insurance information, process payments, and inform patients of any outstanding balances
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Keep the reception and waiting areas organized, neat, and welcoming
  • Perform general office tasks including word processing, filing, faxing, copying, and data entry
  • Assist with appointment reminders, treatment plan coordination, and patient follow-ups as directed
  • Handle patient concerns with diplomacy and escalate issues when necessary
  • Support dental staff by attending meetings and completing other related duties as assigned
