About The Position

The team at Queen Street Dental Centre in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a passionate, hard-working Dental Receptionist on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate enjoys working collaboratively and behind the scenes to organize, implement systems, structure, and ensure efficient practice operations. Queen Street Dental Centre is a busy, multi-disciplinary office in Leslieville, downtown Toronto, providing a full spectrum of dental services. The clinic prioritizes patient health, happiness, and trust, offering a welcoming atmosphere for both patients and staff. They are a neighborhood clinic that treats patients as individuals. This full-time receptionist will be part of an amazing team, representing the dental practice at the front desk and supporting clinic operations as part of a highly capable and dynamic administrative team. The perfect candidate will be highly organized, personable, and possess a strong customer/patient focus.

Requirements

  • You are above else a team player

  • Experience working with external vendors (Insurance companies, labs)
  • Proficient in Excel and other MS Office programs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Customer service mindset

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years experience in a dental office preferred
  • Experience with Abeldent software preferred
  • Experience with dental practice management software such as Abeldent LS+ is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and follow appropriate health screening procedures
  • Accountable for managing and appropriately optimizing appointment schedules
  • Answer telephone, respond to emails and voicemails in a timely manner
  • Establish and maintain patient records
  • Obtain patients' dental records from other offices
  • Manage inbound and outbound lab cases and invoices
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Ensure all patients have next appointment scheduled
  • Make outbound reactivation calls
  • Process inbound and outbound mail and courier deliveries
  • Collect and accurately record payments from patients
  • Submit electronic claims to insurance providers
  • Other assignments from our treatment coordinator and office manager
