About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, people-focused, and operations-driven Practice Leader to join our team. This leadership role is integral in supporting both the clinical and administrative teams while ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality service delivery, and a positive practice culture. The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting teams in delivering excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Office Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience (dental or healthcare setting preferred).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and managing disciplinary actions or terminations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, scheduling, performance metrics, and operational processes.
  • Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Tracker, Abeldent, Paradigm, Cleardent, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to compliance, patient safety, and fostering a positive practice culture.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on practice needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a consistently positive patient experience.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor administrative and clinical support team members to foster engagement, development, and retention.
  • Partner with dentists and clinical leaders to align operations with high-quality patient care and clinical priorities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs); identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll administration, accounts receivable, and inventory management.
  • Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
  • Facilitate effective communication across the practice and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Handle patient concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to strategic planning and practice growth initiatives.
