About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Dental Patient Registration & Scheduling Coordinator to support a busy dental clinic environment. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless registration and scheduling experience while supporting clinical operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting (dental experience strongly preferred)
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of third-party reimbursement and insurance processes
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to accurately register and interview patients
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with patient scheduling and dental office workflows
  • Familiarity with dental coding and billing processes
  • Experience handling financial transactions, including payment processing and deposits
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient registration by accurately collecting and entering demographic and insurance information
  • Determine appropriate service fees and collect payments in accordance with clinic policies
  • Serve as a liaison between dental students/providers and patients to ensure clear communication and a positive experience
  • Accept incoming referrals and schedule patient appointments efficiently based on provider availability
  • Verify dental procedure codes and ensure accurate documentation for billing and insurance purposes
  • Confirm appointments and follow up with patients to reduce no-shows and maintain schedule integrity
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in electronic systems
  • Process daily financial transactions, including payments and preparation of bank deposits
  • Provide excellent customer service through professional, friendly, and solution-focused interactions
