This is an opportunity for a Dental Laboratory Technician to join the Dental Service at MSK. In this role, you will help fabricate and repair dental and maxillofacial prostheses that support patient treatment and recovery. You will work closely with dental faculty and senior technicians in a specialized laboratory setting, contributing to the production of custom dental devices used in clinical care.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a dental laboratory or removable prosthodontics setting
  • Experience working with dental molds, prosthetics, or related fabrication techniques
  • Familiarity with infection control and HIPAA standards in a clinical setting
  • Good attention to detail and precision in hands-on technical work
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt based on provider feedback
  • Effective collaboration with faculty and senior technicians
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple lab cases
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a dental laboratory technology program or vocational training is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interpret dental laboratory prescriptions and prepare materials needed for assigned cases
  • Fabricate, finish, and adjust dental prostheses and intraoral/maxillofacial devices, including molds and custom appliances, using plaster models and lab equipment
  • Perform repairs and modifications to dental prostheses as needed
  • Collaborate with senior dental technicians and dental faculty on laboratory work
  • Track cases and maintain documentation using Epic and laboratory tracking systems
  • Maintain infection control, HIPAA compliance, and safety standards in the laboratory
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lab workspace and equipment, including ordering and managing supplies
