About The Position

The Dental Lab Manager Technician has both technical and supervisory responsibilities. The role leads on-site technical training and development for laboratory technicians at the practice and supports implementation of new products and technologies. The Manager communicates regularly with the regional manager of laboratory excellence and relevant ACI management, and participates actively in the ACI Laboratory Network. Although work methods follow established procedures and practices, the Manager is expected to consult with the Chief Clinical Officer and team and use a high degree of judgment for each patient.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Significant employment experience fabricating dentures from start to finish.
• At least 10 years of hands-on technical experience.
• At least 2 years in a technical supervision or management capacity.
• Proficiency in full-arch hybrid restorations, complete dentures, overdentures, and implant-based restorative techniques.
• Strong knowledge of dental science, anatomy, and esthetics.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, management, and relationship-building skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs.
• Strong work ethic, proven leadership ability, positive attitude, and competitive, entrepreneurial mindset.
• Availability to work full time, Monday through Friday, during the business hours of the lab and practice.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology.
• Denture and implant experience; implant experience is preferred but not required.
• Same-day denture experience; this is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical training and development for laboratory technicians at the practice.
• Support implementation of new products and technologies.
• Communicate regularly with the regional manager of laboratory excellence and relevant ACI management.
• Take an active role within the ACI Laboratory Network.
• Fabricate dentures, including setting teeth; denture wax-up, festooning, and carving of teeth; rough and fine finishing; repairs; and pouring and trimming denture models.
• Cross-train laboratory team members in all areas of the lab.
• Understand and follow OSHA protocol.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
