About The Position

Baystate Dental is hiring Dental Hygiene students and recent graduates for its Dental Hygiene Pathway Program throughout Massachusetts. This program is designed to help individuals transition confidently into their careers as Dental Hygienists. It offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment before moving into a full-time role. The program aims to address common new graduate concerns about finding the right office, gaining clinical experience, and receiving post-graduation support.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited Dental Hygiene program OR recently graduated
Passion for patient care and teamwork
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
Planning to obtain Dental Hygiene licensure in Massachusetts
Associate or bachelor’s degree in dental Hygiene
Active state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
CPR/First Aid (if applicable)
Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort

Nice To Haves

Local anesthesia certification preferred upon licensure
Local anesthesia certification

Responsibilities

Perform routine dental cleanings and oral health Assessments
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
Assist dentists with exams and treatments, and take dental X-rays
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and adhere to sterilization protocols
Work alongside experienced Dental Hygienists and doctors
Learn clinical systems, patient care standards, and office workflows
Assist with patient flow and operatory setup
Build confidence in a real-world dental environment
Develop relationships with patients and team members
Participate in mentorship and training opportunities
Prepare for a smooth transition into a licensed Dental Hygienist role
