About The Position
Baystate Dental is hiring Dental Hygiene students and recent graduates for our Dental Hygiene Pathway Program throughout Massachusetts, including Springfield, Holyoke, Greenfield, and Westfield. This program is designed to help you transition confidently into your career as a Dental Hygienist. It offers the opportunity to learn alongside experienced hygienists, doctors, and clinical leaders in a supportive, team-focused environment before stepping into a full-time hygiene role. The program aims to address common new grad concerns about finding the right office, gaining clinical experience, and feeling supported after graduation.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Dental Hygiene program OR recently graduated
- Passion for patient care and teamwork
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Planning to obtain Dental Hygiene licensure in Massachusetts
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Local anesthesia certification and CPR/First Aid (if applicable)
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
Nice To Haves
- Local anesthesia certification preferred upon licensure
Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings and oral health assessments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
- Assist dentists with exams and treatments, and take dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Adhere to sterilization protocols
